Originally from Detroit, Michigan, I moved to Boston for graduate school in social work and stayed in Boston, raising two daughters, now grown.
I live very near the bay with my better half and our Maltese, Linus. My desk windows overlook the bay, so I work in my home office a lot!
I have been selling real estate in Hull, Massachusetts for just over a year and in 2008 am the top selling agent in my office for the first half of 2008. I have been investing in real estate for over 20 years and I invest in Hull.
I have a Master’s degree in Social Work, a technical Certification in Web Multimedia Design, a background in Marketing and Web Design (Small World Graphics). I also have expertise in Photoshop (Photo Restoration Service). All these skills are very useful in working with people and marketing homes.
I publish & create HULLMAgazine.com, where over 5,000 different people from around the country and a few around the world visit the site each month interested in Hull and Nantasket Beach with an email list of over 1500 people who want to stay in touch with life in Hull and on Nantasket Beach.
100% of our advertising fees are donated to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Disease Research. I am living with Parkinson’s Disease myself and am involved with many local and national Parkinson’s support, advocacy and education groups.
I am bullish on Hull and believe that real estate in Hull is great long-term investment. Every part of Hull is either close to the ocean or the bay, or on the ocean or the bay. We have 3 square miles of land and 27 miles of shoreline! Hull is one of only a very few coastal communities in the Northeast where homes are directly on the beach.
We have new rail service to Boston close by in Hingham with lots of parking and an MBTA ferry to Boston & Logan with a coffee shop, restrooms and a bar onboard. What a way to go!
For buyers and investors, I think today’s housing market offers a great opportunity to buy into oceanfront or ocean-close property within commuting distance to Boston.
